Looking for a can of beer that’s more, shall we say, local than PBR? The borough’s beer mainstay, Brooklyn Brewery, is launching their Summer Ale in a can, and as part of the so-called “canibalization,” they’re holding three parties throughout the city on Thursday. Though one is in Manhattan, the other two both take place in Brooklyn. The event taking place in the brewery’s own backyard, at Good Company, features three dollar cans of the stuff as well as free hot dogs from the Meat Hook and musical stylings from DJ Fernando Martinez; additionally, the super-cool Self Portrait Project will be stopping by to get pictures for their project. A party is also planned for Pub One in DUMBO that includes three dollar cans as well as the promise of free swag.
