Evacuation, a two-day long performance art piece about the effects of climate change on marine life, begins on Wednesday at 4pm at the Brooklyn Bridge. Watch as actors dressed in dapper 40’s attire but also wearing fish heads flee in slow motion from an impending storm. Although the visual is intended to call the atrocities of the Nazi-led evacuations of World War II to mind, the performance is a literal portrayal of the evacuations being forced upon ocean species nowadays due to environmental neglect.
