Brooklyn is where it’s at for this week’s CMJ Festival, and the Duckdown vs. Blacksmith Showcase at the Music Hall of Williamsburg this Saturday night is a prime example of why. Beginning at 9pm, treat yourself to an evening of great hip hop by some of the finest, most socially-conscious musicians in the biz, including Pharaohe Monch, Buckshot, Smif and Wessun, Jean Grae, Kidz in the Hall, and headliner Talib Kweli, the supertalented and visionary rapper who counts Jay-Z and 50 Cent among his biggest fans. Tickets are still available and only $25 if you purchase in advance, but move fast because this show will sell out.
