Tonight at Greenlight Bookstore, the Fort Greene Association and a panel of writers are gathering in honor of Black History Month to share some literary and neighborhood lore at “Fort Greene’s Black Writers: A Neighborhood History.” Local authors Nelson George (The Plot Against Hip Hop), Carl Hancock Rux (Asphalt), Martha Southgate (The Taste Of Salt) and John Lee (writer and director for Starz, MTV, Comedy Central and Adult Swim) will speak about their early experiences in Clinton Hill and Fort Greene and how the hoods have shaped their lives and works.
