Tuffet, a bar with a mean cheese list, superlative negronis and a great beer selection, opened on Graham Avenue last spring. It also happens to be one of the best secret coffices in Brooklyn–you know, a spot that welcomes laptops and offers free wifi, but isn’t your typical café or coffeeshop. Tuffet’s back room, known as The Study, offers plenty of space to spread out, opens at 1pm daily and Tuffet’s turbo-charged espresso from Gimme Coffee! is a caffeine nut’s dream. Get your day started at home, then head to Tuffet to order “The Sandwich” (New York cheddar, fig jam, mustard and your choice of salami or chorizo, which recently got a shout-out from Eater readers) for lunch. There are also $6 day-drinking specials, and on nice afternoons the spacious backyard is the perfect spot to meet a client. The Study can also be reserved for no fee for larger parties at night.
