You’ll Shoot Your Eye Out

There are a couple of movies that are pretty much required viewing during the holiday season, but spending Christmas Day on your parents’ couch year after year like an overfed, pajamaed slug can get downright depressing. If the idea of watching the classics in a lively bar atmosphere strikes you as more copasetic (not to mention social), check out Huckleberry Bar as it hosts screenings of the old standbys every Monday night this month. This week, head on over at 9pm for A Christmas Story, the classic tale of Ralphie and his dogged pursuit of an official Red Ryder, carbine action, two-hundred shot range model air rifle. Two-for-one drink specials and free popcorn will be on hand and we’re guessing that there will be a lot of quotes from the movie flying around. It’s a Wonderful Life is on tap for Christmas Eve, so keep that in mind if you are sticking around Brooklyn.
