This Wednesday, Oct. 16, the Brooklyn Historical Society is celebrating its 150th anniversary by tucking into an evening of tastings from more than 20 of Brooklyn’s best chefs and restaurants. The lineup includes eateries from all over Brooklyn–everyone from Allswell to Fort Reno, Brookyn Brine, Chavela’s, Egg, Madiba and Steve’s Key Lime Pie will be on hand, and the historical society will be honoring restauranteurs Peter Aschkenasy and Andrew Tarlow, as well as Heritage Radio Network for its foodie coverage. Put on your most festive attire and toast BHS with a couple historic cocktails. Tickets start at $200 for singles–steep to be sure, but how often do you have a chance to celebrate 150 years of anything?
