Fund the Next Great Cheese Fellow (or Just Eat Like One)

On Thursday night, Saxelby Cheesemongers is hosting an evening of cheese, nibbles and libations at 61 Local, all in the name of education and commemoration of Daphne Zepos, a luminary and an educator in the cheese world who sadly passed away last year. She built Artisanal’s cheese education program, and most recently owned the Cheese School of San Francisco. In memory of her work, The Daphne Zepos Teaching Award was established to provide a research and travel scholarship for burgeoning cheesemongers, cheesemakers, and cheese educators. This year is the first year that the scholarship was awarded, to Jess Perrie of Beehive Cheese in Utah (lucky her!). Help fund the scholarship for next year’s deserving candidate by purchasing a $40 ticket, which includes all the cheese, bread and snacks you can handle, along with a free drink.
