Snap a few pictures next time you’re in the park and submit them to the city’s parks department to be entered into its #GoPark photo contest. The contest is open to everyone and meant to encourage us all to explore some of the city’s 29,000 acres of public parks and open space. You can submit photos via Instagram or Twitter with the hashtag #GoPark or upload a photo here on Facebook. The winner is being announced Nov. 22, and their photo will be published on NYC Parks’ social media pages and website, as well as possibly be featured on some of the department’s merchandise. Entry for the contest ends one week from today on Nov. 12 at 5pm, so snap to it.
