Now going into its fourth year, the U.S. edition of Unsound Krakow, appropriately happening in NYC under the name Unsound New York, hits the city this week from April 2–6. Taking place at multiple venues throughout Manhattan and Brooklyn, including Issue Project Room, the First Unitarian Church and Experimental Intermedia, the festival brings together musicians from all over the world across a varied array of sounds from experimental to dub to techno and more. Pairing emerging artists with musical pioneers the festival seeks out musicians and artists who aren’t afraid to take risks. The festival incorporates art, light shows, panels and screenings as well. Performers include Inga Copeland, Håkon Stene, Wilhelm Bras and more. Ticket prices average between $5-$20 per performance, so see a show, or several, before the music stops on Sunday.
