If you’ve ever wondered what Bushwick tastes like, Monday night is your chance to find out at The Bushwick Starr.
Want to tuck into food from Bushwick hotspots like Northeast Kingdom, Fritzl’s Lunch Box, the Tchoup Soup popup, and more all in the same night, all in the same place? What if we told you you’d also be supporting the Bushwick Starr, a local Obie Award-winning non-profit theater and art center? If this sounds like a pretty sweet Monday night activity to you, don’t miss the first annual Taste of Bushwick food fest at the Bushwick Starr’s performance space, which just so happens to feature a giant roof deck overlooking the Manhattan skyline. Tickets are $40 each and include food from a variety of the neighborhood’s most popular spots, wine tastings, and an after party at Radio Bushwick with live performances by local musicians and performance artists. All proceeds will benefit the Bushwick Starr’s 2014-2015 season, and you can ratchet your support up a level and take home $200 worth of swag from places like Roberta’s, FINE & RAW Chocolate Factory, the Brooklyn Grange by buying a special “take the Taste home” tote bag/ticket combo for $75.
