If you’re booking live music for your wedding, the last thing you want is a cheesy, Adam Sandler-sounding wedding band. But unless you can afford the $100,000 and up price tags of your favorite singers, you need to do a little digging to find musicians to gush about.

We get that. So much so, that along with our annual wedding fair, we also showcase what’s known as “anti-wedding bands," filled with musicians who have rocked more than just receptions and who can play everything from Beyoncé to AC/DC to David Bowie. The four bands you'll see at Wedding Crashers LIVE this Monday, Feb. 22, at The Bell House–45 Riots, MIXTAPE: a cover band for hipsters, The Affections and the Dexter Lake Club Band–include members who have performed with Bruce Springsteen, the Cars, David Byrne and Björk; who play holiday parties for the likes of Macy's; and attract the attention of glossies like Vogue. This is who you want to get Aunt Diane and your best friends on the dance floor.

If it’s a master of the decks you’re after, we’ve got two great DJs as well—Colleen Crumbcake of Sugartown Industries, whose clients include Madewell and the Renegade Craft Fair, and Phonograph DJ Mac, whose two turntables are vintage gramophones. (You may have also heard him on WFMU.)

You’ll also meet original vendors who will set your event apart, from a GIF photobooth from The Booth, to live poets the Haiku Guys and Gals to tarot reader Naomi Rosenblatt. She may not be able to predict how your marriage will work out, but we can help you throw an unforgettable celebration of it. Tickets are $10 in advance, and doors are at 6:30pm.
