I just learned about the Great Northern Festival, a week of outdoor dinner parties, ice sculpting, skating and live music that takes place in Minneapolis and St. Paul and ends this Sunday—which would have been an awesome leadup for anyone headed to the Super Bowl. But an equally cool place to watch the Eagles vs. the Pats would be the Helm Bar at Industry City, where they’ll be serving all the requisite so-bad-but-so-good food, like chili, short rib sliders, wings, nachos, and beergaritas. (We recently wrote about all the ways to chill at Industry City this winter, and the Helm was one of the highlights.)
You could also bring the gourmet grub back home. Bonnie’s Grill is an excellent purveyor of this game-day staple.
If you don’t intend to watch the game at all, or tune into the halftime show (which would be great if only Andy Samberg joined Justin Timberlake on stage for a spoof), this weekend is an optimal time to revisit Silver Linings Playbook, which, among other things, is a hilarious homage to long-suffering Eagles fans.
