On Thursday evening, make the trip out to Red Hook to hear Dr. Leland Melvin, who MUST be the only person ever to be able claim the author/NASA astronaut/Detroit Lions wide receiver/host of Lifetime show Child Genius multi-hyphenate. He’ll be speaking about his new autobiography, Chasing Space, at Pioneer Works. Melvin’s talk will cover his two missions to Space Shuttle Atlantis, his recovery from a deafening injury he experienced during NASA training, a book signing, and a star gazing session in the garden.
