Four days of inclusion and community: The BRIC OPEN

By

The BRIC OPEN, a free four-day festival that reflects the creativity, inclusion, and community that this cultural powerhouse represents, opens tonight, April 26, with the theme of Borders, a fluid catchall for our physical and imagined borders and a celebration of our ability to connect despite these divisions. It kicks off with a conversation between activists working with the Women’s March and Black Lives Matter and continues through the weekend with a triple bill show featuring Blitz the Ambassador, Lido Pimienta, and The Chamanas on Friday, a dance party on Saturday with RAGGA NYC, and a discussion with disability activist Jess Thom on Sunday. There are lots more interactive exhibitions, artist talks, and short films in between—all for free with RSVP.
