Monday night, Sept. 17, is the 70th Primetime Emmy Awards Ceremony, which is big news if you are my mother, who is a perfectly normal person if you can look past her unwavering love for (1) airplane food (?!); and (2) televised awards shows, including all interminable red carpet coverage. However, even if the Emmys aren’t really YOUR thing, you might make an exception this year, if only because Michael Che and Colin Jost are hosting, and Parklife is throwing a free Ballots & Bingo party so you can watch with a couple hundred of your closest friends. The Emmy broadcast starts at 8pm, and winner of the bingo and ballots competitions will win a free badge to Brooklyn Comedy Festival’s closing weekend events. Get there early to get a good seat and to take advantage of 5-7pm happy hour specials.
