Last week we highlighted queer-owned Brooklyn businesses in celebration of Pride month, and included one restaurant on the list, MeMe’s Diner, known for its wacky riffs on classic comfort foods. Well, another equally yummy, queer-run restaurant from Hudson, NY, Lil’ Deb’s Oasis, will be joining them on Monday night, 7-10pm, for a cookoff. The theme is breakfast for dinner, and you’ll get to try their different takes on the most important meal of the day. Expect sausage-stuffed chicken wings with hollandaise from MeMe’s, and a savory arepa pancake with crispy pork jowl, pickled peaches and cotija-herb salsa verde from Lil’ Deb’s, plus a surprise dish from each and two signature tequila cocktails. Truly the breakfast of champions, and a guaranteed good time, for $40.
