BB contrib Meredith Craig de Pietro checked out the new Beyond the Streets exhibit of 150 graffiti and street artists, and her early takeaway, which she shared on our Instagram, is that it is so massive and comprehensive, you’ll need to charge your phone beforehand, and plan on spending a decent chunk of time to see it all (or at least account for the possibility that you’ll get lost inside of it). Alongside the murals and immersive installations by artists including Takashi Murakami, Shepard Fairey and Keith Haring are pop-ups like an actual tattoo parlor, a record shop and a section devoted to The Beastie Boys. This sounds like the perfect thing to take advantage of when the city empties out for July 4. Tickets are $25 each (kids 5 and under are free) and it’s open Wednesdays through Sundays through August.
