A crab cake dinner party with a Maryland chef

Chef and writer Millicent Souris, who recently contributed a story about the importance of volunteering, happens to hail from Maryland, where crab is a major food group. She’s bringing her expertise to cookbook shop/cafe Archestratus Books + Foods in Greenpoint for a kick-ass crab cake party on Wednesday, July 24. On the menu is her regional specialty (broiled, not fried) along with fried green tomatoes with a sun gold tomato aioli dressing and, praise be, her pie (she’s also a pie maestro). Tickets are $40 and the dinner runs from 7-9:30pm.
