Nothing says summer like a block party, and the Museum of the City of New York and El Museo del Barrio always do it big. The East Harlem museums are kicking off their fourth annual Uptown Bounce block party series this Wednesday night with a free tribute to the Summer of ‘69. From 6 to 9pm, they’ll be taking it back to a summer that saw everything from Woodstock to the Stonewall Riots to the first man on the moon. Dance to live musical performances, participate in art-making workshops and enjoy gallery tours at both museums. And come hungry, snacks and drinks will be available for purchase.
