Whitney Otawka is the award-winning chef of an inn located on Cumberland Island, Georgia. This remote barrier island and the local ingredients serve as inspiration for her cooking and new cookbook, The Saltwater Table: Recipes from the Coastal South. Chef Otawka will prepare a meal at Archestratus Books & Foods in Greenpoint on Thursday, October 24.
Arrive at 7pm to have a cocktail, and sit down for dishes such as shrimp toast, flounder, and southern style veggies. You can also buy the book and support her work and Archestratus, a truly lovely book shop. Tickets for the dinner are $50.
