I have to admit that the amount that I talk about Fleabag and its transcendent genius creator and star, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, is so excessive that I’m starting to bore myself, but that’s how much I love that thing. I’ve watched both seasons twice from beginning to end, as well as Killing Eve and Crashing, and hauled my cookies up to Town Hall to see Waller-Bridge interviewed live and in person by Taffy Brodesser-Akner last fall. The only thing I haven’t done, much to my everlasting chagrin, is manage to get tickets to see the live one-woman show that inspired the award-winning BBC series before they sold out, and I’m still pissed about it. Luckily, I can avail myself of the next best thing, which is a live performance of Fleabag filmed on London’s National Theatre stage and broadcast directly to BAM for a series of eight showtimes starting this Friday night. There are still tickets available for both the 7pm and 9pm shows, and they will set you back $28 apiece.
